Sizing help on a 14060M

Hi all, need your help and advice.

I bought a used 14060M. Have 3 days to decide if it’s a keeper.

I put it on and the bracelet feels a bit tight. Meaning, I can’t slide a pinky finger under and it leaves a mark, doesn’t move. Seems like it has 5 links on one side and 6 on the other. See pics.

Definitely tighter than my six digit 36 Explorer or six digit 36 DJ, which are both unchanged, just straight from the AD. They fit perfectly as-is, even with the easylink “in” not “out”.

I chose this model sub for a bunch of reasons and I LOVE how it looks but I’m also super OCD and am nervous that if I add a half link it will make the clasp off center.

Advice? What to do? Would love to find a way to make this work. Thanks in advance.

You have to try different adjustments until you get it right. You will

I think you are missing some links. There should be 11 links total, I think 3 are removable. It looks like you have 8 or 9 proper links. The links with the center "bars" are not really links; they attach the clasp to the bracelet and are riveted to the clasp on one end and the dive extension on the other.

Ok! Yeah, sounds like I'm a link or two short of a bracelet. That makes me feel better. If I return this, I'll have to look at 12 series subs, which are great, but I felt a serious attraction and harmony with the lines on this one in particular. I'm gonna try and make it work.

Or just find a fully linked example. I see a lot of 14060's missing links and counting the bar links as links.

I think you need an extra link, as the bracelet adjustment appears to be on maximum.
14060M is a great watch, good luck.

Thank you. I'll find the requisite links. This particular piece is a two liner and really looks damn fine. It came with the inner and outer boxes, papers, booklets, hang tag, anchor. Don't know how much more of a 'full set' you can expect. Links aside. Lol.

My wrist is pretty much right at 7.5" so it oughta work. I don't have gargantuan wrists and I imagine lots of guys who actually do have gargantuan wrists wore these comfortably, once adjusted.

Should have 12 total links. Add one to the side with 6 links then use the 4 holes/settings on the clasp for your final adjustment.

That’s what I’d do. Great Submariner. Can’t beat the 14060M.
