1957 Rolex Oyster Precision 6422 - Birth Year Watch for my Father
I made a promise to my father that one day I would buy him a Rolex. He doesn't have much left from his birth, so I thought that a 1957 Birth Year Rolex would hold special significance for him.
I have attached photos below from a listing of which I intend to proceed with purchase via Chrono24 in the next 24 hours. Insight specific to the 6422 would be fantastic as it is hard to come across anything substantial online, and if the photos below reveal any detail (Real/Fake/Keep an eye out for etc) I appreciate Chrono24 has certain buyer protections, however any time saved would be great. I thank you all for your time in advance. |

I think these old no-date references look fantastic. Just be aware that this is a hand-winding watch with a screw-down crown, and that combination is not appealing to everyone. Especially if he is going to wear it regularly.

As above, but I’d add the case looks great for its age. I believe it’s 34mm so depending what your father has been wearing it may feel a bit small.

Get him a DateJust or a Sub.
He's your dad. You can't half-ass this. |

I will adopt the OP for a 1957 Sub.

You may want to consider many years from now you or your kid might be wearing the watch in his honor
