Date Wheel - Should it Click When Setting or No?

Been playing with my new 36mm Datejust with the 3235 movement.

I've noticed that most of the time, when setting the date, it does not click and has just light resistance as you scroll through the numbers. But sometimes (minority of the time) it has more resistance with a very definitive, audible click sound that can be heard and felt. The former seems buttery smooth, but the latter seems more like what I'm used to with date wheels in general. Neither feel bad, per se. Just distinctly different.

Which should it be, and/or is this considered normal/acceptable to sometimes click and sometimes not? I couldn't find anything about this searching.

FWIW, when it changed over at midnight last night, it had a nice click sound.

I don't recall for sure, but I think the last time I was playing with it yesterday and manually set the date, it didn't click.

My Sub41 has a very subtle click, can barely be heard and felt. Not sure about my SD43 but I'll check it out.

On the contrary, my YM40 with the 3135 movement has a more noticeable click, both touch and sound.

Thanks - it is definitely something I didn't really notice the first few times I was playing with it as I was learning how to use the crown. I don't think I even noticed it didn't normally click until one time it randomly was clicking while moving the date and I was like "I don't remember it clicking/feeling like that" and then the next time it was back to basically silent.

I guess it seems I'm the only one. In either case it seems to work just fine, just an observation I had.
