Sky-Dweller or Rootbeer ?

Quick question, what would you choose between the Sky-Dweller (steel) or the two tone Rootbeer?

Actually I just had the choice between the Sky-Dweller in YG on OF or a full gold Rootbeer. The Sky-Dweller one out for sheer appearance.

I have both. Would be a hard choice but SkyD would win out for me.

What's your wrist size? The SkyD has more heft to it. Added bonus, you can have both Jubilee and Oyster bracelets for SkyD.

The Sky Dweller movement is in another league. The CHNR is a very warm and rich sporty watch. It may boil down to the look of the ceramic or fluted bezel. The CHNR by design will take more daily abuse if that matters.

SS Skyd (i personally prefer jubilee with mint or blue dial) gets my vote. I'm not a big fan of two tone. Personal preference though.

If you have difficulty reading the time at a glance > Rootbeer Ref 126711CHNR

If you have a 20/20 vision or pilot's vision > Sky-Dweller Blue dial 326934 on the Oystersteel bracelet

Not a SkyD fan, so I choose the Root Beer.

Have a CHNR. It is a beauty. Definitely will feel one class in luxury higher than standard SS. For the average wrist, it may fit more as it is smaller than SkyD. With that said, I’m after a SkyD…as I love the complication and need a fluted/jubilee.

I have a CHNR, but I never wear it since I got it. I'd much prefer a Sky Dweller - it's actually next on my want list if I can get a blue, jubilee SD.

Sky-Dweller is far superior to the CHNR I sold. 42mm hits my sweet spot and is higher horology. But, I admit, only the BLRO appeals to me as a GMT as I've sold both my CHNR and BLNR.
Yes, I realize the Sky-Dweller is a GMT as is my polar ExplorerII. But when comparing the pilot GMTs only the BLRO is my grail.

I’m going SkyD here but of course it would depend on wrist size. This would be assuming a wrist of 7’’ or greater. If not, the GMT MII will fit better.

Sky-Dweller is the better of the two for me. I've had both the TT and full gold versions of the CHNR and also full gold and stainless steel versions of the Sky-Dweller. The all gold Sky D was a little too heavy, so the full gold GMT wins out there. But in steel the Sky D is the best watch Rolex makes and wears really well on the wrist.

Rootbeer. I can't get on with that little timezone subdial on the SD. To me it looks like a concept that was originally discarded in the 1950s in favour of the more intuitive GMT-Master design.

Sky-Dweller. The Root Beer is great but I am not a fan of RG for me.

Not particularly fond of either, but the S/S SD would be my pick.

Full gold Rootbeer is one of the most beautiful watches Rolex have ever produced in my opinion.

I prefer everything on the SkyD over the Root Beer except for the case size. If you hav the wrist for it, the SkyD is sooooo much more watch. And cooler
looking imo. But no small wrists need apply.
