Serial # question
I just got an early Explorer II 16570. The serial number ends in 0000. Does this suggest this is the very first watch of this particular series? If so, does that impact its value in any way? I have the box and papers and all numbers match up. Thanks in advance!

Not especially. Rolex didn’t sequence serial numbers by model launch.
There was always going to be some midcases with 0000. For example, in the “millions” serial number era there’d be a thousand or more midcases than ended in 0000. Some would be your model and some would be spread out among other models. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
