OP41 - UK Grey Prices Dropping?
Started to see some crazy-ish prices for OP41s in the UK recently. Just wondering if others (UK specific) are starting to see the same, or if I just got a few random data points and am doing 2+2 = 5
OP41 Silver MRSP GBP 5.9K / Grey GBP 8K OP41 Green MRSP GBP 5.9K / Grey GBP 9K Went through the Arcade in Hatton Garden last weekend, and was offered the Green OP41 for 7.3K (!!). Seen a popular grey dealer, who quite often has things marked up about 10% over the usual grey prices, and they have the OP41 Silver at 7.4K. I'm really tempted to bite the bullet if my AD doesn't come through soon. |

Availability is getting better as well. I randomly got a call if I wanted the OP41 green at retail.

A few dials and bezel combos are still considered rare and trade above retail for yh DJ41 in the UK.
Many others should be available straight from your AD now I'd you aren't fussy about the options. |

As the market is softening, people who would buy Rolex from the AD to flip them must be turning down the AD when they get the call... as greys are offering less money... I guess
In any case I see Rolexes advertised locally on the secondary market are not moving... eventually if people need to sell they will have to accept lower prices. |

OP Green is going above but the other colours are not hard to get from an AD if you have a relationship and no way is anyone paying 8/9k for Silver

This time next year they will be at 10% OFF MSRP at your local grey dealer as well as other 90% of Rolex references.

I have seen many of the SS Professional model prices coming down. Look at the trend lines on Chrono24 and they are only updated to May of this year.
I think one of the problems is there is a disconnect between what a watch should sell for today given decreased demand vs. what the grey bought it for. I think some grays are sitting on expensive inventory and not willing to reduce prices to what I call market value. As they unload to people willing to pay these prices, I think we will see another correction in prices. I sure hope so. |

My SA told me they could order a specific DJ, from Rolex. Maybe there are other models becoming similarly available.

Okkkkkkk...as great as it is to know about DJs and people selling Pepsi's maybe we can get back to the topic at hand.
There's clearly been an uptick in supply recently on certain models (e.g. Rootbeer), but I'm yet to see a flood of OPs onto the market and every AD I speak to consistently says they don't see many at all. Maybe I go for my second option which is the White DJ41. |

I bought a silver OP41 for £6.3k about 6 months ago. It’s not that popular a reference, looks great though.

Mid June. First one came through with a piece mid-July, which they put in a request to Rolex to make after I exercised their "intent to purchase" option in late June. Other ADs also said they can request pieces, but have clearly stated DJs are still allocation only and cannot be ordered, at least as of last month. Perhaps it's changed in the last month, but not sure.
