To 16520 owners - experiences?

Looking to maybe add a 16520 and was wondering if any 16520 owners could share their experience of using it as a daily driver.

1) How well does it hold up as a daily driver in general? Does it feel delicate? I don't do anything too extreme or manual labour in day to day life

2) How accurate is the 4030? For reference, I've owned 2 x 3185 calibre and 1 x 3130. I found the 3185 quite inaccurate, while the 3130 was very accurate. Which one would the 4030 be closer to?

3) How much of a scratch magnet are the polished surfaces? Anybody got any pics of their daily driver 16520?

Congratulations on looking into Zenith Daytonas. This might be my favorite era of Daytonas because of their aesthetics, collectibility, and wearability.

1) I’d say just as robust as a pre-ceramic and sturdy as any Rolex (with a zenith movement)
2) Accurate, assuming regular service interval.
3) Scratchy, but remember that the lugs are brushed and the bezel is meant to pickup scratches. Gives this piece more character.

I think it's a great choice and can easily survive daily wear. That case really hugs the wrist.

I wouldn’t hesitate in owning another, I had a A series for a bit several years back. Very accurate & quite durable for daily use. Just be careful when setting the time with the 4030, if I recall it had a non hacking seconds hand so do not go counter clockwise when setting the time (same goes for the earlier speedmasters).

My favorite Daytona reference. I don't daily mine but have been an owner for quite a while. Does not feel delicate at all and could easily be a daily. I've had zero issues with accuracy and really don't worry about scratches. Wonderful watch!

Thanks all for your input so far. I didn't know about the non-hacking seconds aspect, that was good to know.

I was wondering if anyone had any input on the service cost? I'm guessing it's more expensive than 3185/3130? If so, by how much?

And would RSC need to send it to Geneva HQ to service it? Or the regional RSCs should be able to handle it?

Service cost will be a bit more due to the movement and any RSC can take care of the service.

not sure if you are being sarcastic. but no, it's a tool watch so it will be fine with long sleeves.
