Icon20 YG Sub vs RG DD40

Snapped a quick picture while deciding which one to wear today

Left is the YG Sub 126618LB and right is the RG DD40 228235

Now I just need to add a SS/WG/Plat piece to complete the collection lol

Happy Sunday everyone hope you have a great day!

Subs are nice, but I prefer a DD when side by side.

Neither if it were me. Too loud to my taste.
But since you asked it’s not loud at all. Then you should get both

Beautiful, a white gold Daytona with the blue dial would be perfect IMO

YG Sub vs RG DD40

Nice pair - and definitely agree with the comment somewhere above: adding a WG Daytona would make a *strong* 3-piece collection.

If it were up to me, I'd choose neither. They're a bit too bold for my liking.
However, given your perspective, if you don't find them overpowering, why not go for both?

Great decision to have!

Both are stunning but I’m a huge DD guy so would have to go with that gorgeous chocolate and RG combo.

Really looking forward to seeing your SS/WG/PL choices should your collection evolve in that route.

My two cents….the platinum Daytona with ice blue dial, SS SkyD with mint green dial, and WG DD40 paved with diamonds and sapphire w/the regular WG fluted bezel.

I've had a variety of Day-Dates over the past 20 years. I love them and think they are beautiful, but I never end up keeping them for long.

All gold Submariners, Daytonas, and GMT Masters are a different thing. Those always have a place in my collection. The gold professional models have a more youthful feel to them that the Day-Date just doesn't give me.
