Rolls! I like rolls for traveling and storing (safe deposit boxes, etc.).

That said for showcasing, boxes can’t be beat. Depends on what your needs and wants are…. There is no right or wrong answer. Have fun and enjoy the process of collecting.

I'd be happy to 'store' it on my wrist on occasion.

At home in a case, for traveling something smaller like a roll.

If you keep it in the safe you don’t need a case. It’s already boxed up

First cannot understand why anyone would buy a expensive watch if they are not going to wear it .Myself have had a specially made Rolex watch box bed made from the finest materials known to man,it's lined with the finest silk and specially padded with the finest softest Pashmina as not to scratch the extremely delicate 904L SS, now called oystersteel or precious metal.Plus it has a built in winder to gently rock your Rolex watch to sleep and keep its heart ticking at a constant 28800 BPH. Plus the added feature of thermostatically heat humidity and air conditioned controlled to the COSC standard. As Rolex watches are very delicate and need extreme pampering if not they will self destruct .Its fully Programmed to lull Rolex watches to sleep when off wrist, with soothing ticking and whale sounds to help it drift into a place of peace and Rolex tranquillity.

Afraid the Rolex box bed is at the moment a very secret prototype but will be taking orders soon once I have it it full production price expected to be $500 -$800 owing to winder expense as these winders are very special COSC certified motor ones..

But in the real world a Rolex is just a watch and does not care how the watch is left to rest off wrist flat, downside up, crown up or downsideup or the need for a special resting cloth or special boxes when at home.Rolex watches are made from one of the toughest materials known to man and dont need any sort of pampering.

If you see the other posts in the thread it’s obvious. It’s a silly question and troll style post especially with the follow up. If the OP wasn’t someone who joined a while ago I’d think it was a joke. I even checked post history and they are older five digit models. While I like them it’s even more annoying considering a 30 year old watch made it this far.

I’d use a pouch. Thinner, offers the same protection and easier to store

Me, I’d store it in a box sometimes, and other times in a pod. And then other times in my sock drawer. Store it in good health!

Will you be giving the watchbox a special nickname Padi?

Objection. Non-responsive. Motion to strike. A Rolex watch likely means different things to different people. And those differences lead to different care and maintenance routines. It's not always about wearing it every day for everyone. Some care about scratches, and some don't. Some care that it keeps accurate time, and some don't. Some care that the date flips right around midnight, others don't. Your response attacks OP and contributes little to their concern.

I'd sell and get a nice sports reference like a GMT Master II, perhaps in white gold. Maybe even a SkyD or Daytona on Oysterflex. I bet you would wear both watches regularly if they were more diverse.

Well seeing the original poster stated he never wears it so it will never get any scratches plus if he has a Rolex President it would have come with a nice box to store it in.Cannot see why the poster should be concerned like you put attacks OP.If he does not wear it he would not be concerned about anything like you state in reply post.
