GMT Acquisition Questions
I’m looking for advice on purchasing a Rolex GMT Master II.
I understand the hype of Pepsi but truthfully I’m indifferent to bezel color. I just want some color with the GMT function. I have a healthy relationship with my AD. We chat via cell or in person monthly, awesome guy. I acquired a watch in Rolex in May from him. Last visit he asked my preferences / what I was interesting in buying in the future. I have to leave my home location (work purposes) in May of 24 permanently. Is it a lost cause? I know the real answer is : “who knows?” Curious on opinions. |

Sorry, what is JC?
As for my opinion, for work, there is nothing you can do despite the relationship. If you ever get the call, and travelling will not be too much of an issue, treat it like a weekend Rolex getaway trip. Besides, you can try to develop another set of relationships with a new local AD at your new location. Win Win! |

Just ask for the watch and see what happens. Explorer II also has a GMT function.
Also, why does it matter if you're leaving? As long as you can physically pick the watch up if they ever offer it then no need to bring up your pending relocation. |

I’m moving very far away. It would be a 12 hour flight. |

Doesn’t hurt to ask.
As Mitchell said, the EXP is another great GMT option and I think you’d have a pretty decent shot at landing one of those relatively quickly. Good luck |
