Trade GMT BLRO Bracelets?

If I had a LNIB 202x BLRO on Jubilee and someone had a similar watch on Oyster, is there any downside to either watch’s originally / value by us swapping bracelets? Thanks.......

The Jubilee is worth more than the Oyster. Other than that there is no downside besides the card indicates which bracelet that it came with in case you ever want to sell or trade it in.

No card will tell what bracelet the watch came with on Gmts.

However, the white hang tag would show the designation(which bracelet it comes with).

I don't think it does? The box and card says "oyster" i.e. oyster perpetual.

It does (I think). My white tag calls out “Oyster”, but all my Rolexes are on Oyster, so not sure if something on Jubilee would say that?

The white tag will show “-001” for the jubilee bracelet and “-002” for the oyster bracelet. For Datejusts the dial code will also show. In terms of value retention, some collectors may care if there’s a mismatch with the white hang tag but then again some watches don’t even come with the white hang tag anymore since some ADs don’t give them out.

This is why it’s important imo to buy watches with more expensive dials (ie. the John Mayer) with the white hang tag to ensure that that was the watch’s original configuration.

It is a big issue if retaining its trade value matters. It’s an undocumented change and the white tag will reflect that. The info in the full box set will not match the bracelet and now you have a watch with an explanation and that is a problem for a lot of buyers.. Even changing a dial with the accompanying Rolex service card that is documented can be an issue for some buyers.
