The models I like are the matte dial models 1680 and 5513 or the later glossy dial 5513.
The Submariner 14060 which is a later model with a sapphire crystal is also a nice choice.

Seiko SKX007 is the only old Sub I'd wear anywhere. 200 bucks.
I wouldn't wear any Rolex just anywhere. In certain areas (of London, for example), theives walk around specifically looking for people wearing Rolex. A quick mugging for an easy 5-10 grand at least. There's a time and place. |
