26715OR or 16202st

I love both equally and currently being offered both at 65k so curious which of these two is most likely a better long term hold? I know some will say ‘buy what you love’ but in this case, I love both so now it comes down to which is a safer place to park the money. I know none of us have a magic crystal ball but hoping to get some insight from experienced folks on here.

I wouldn't think anything modern is necessarily safe.

Long term hold, that might mean for value or for a watch you will truly hold onto and wear forever. If you are looking for an investment (you should not!) that would likely be the 16202st. You will always lose with gold imho.

Now if you are talking about strictly wearing/enjoy the watches- this is my personal opinion, but for the money the rose ROC seems like the better buy. The 16202st is a somewhat new model, super scarce, but not a true legend (yet) like the 15202 was

Again just personal, but I find the 26315 to fit better than the 15202 I tried (I know older versions of both of your options!) but that is totally up to you. Not to mention you can also switch up the look of the ROC by throwing it on a strap

Wow, 26715OR Bleu Nuit dial at $65k seems like a good price and gorgeous timepiece. I would love to have that.

If you don't take it, who is your secondary market dealer, please let me know.

Best way go for 16202OR.

I'd think 26715or should hold better value given it's closer to the retail price and is full gold./

What else is in your collection? The 16202st will be more versatile than a RG that may not always be appropriate and certainly more flashy. Do you have any other AP in your collection? If not, IMO, a RO in steel on bracelet is a great place to start. The ROC is without question the better value being a PM.

Or buy both :) They certainly compliment each other. 38MM ROC and 39MM jumbo, IMO, is the perfect 2 piece AP collection.

Sold my 15510 blue to pick up a 16202 but now that the prices for both 16202 and 26715or are practically the same, I was wondering if I should just go with the chrono.

I think the 16202 is a better choice since it’ll be my only AP

between the two that 16202 is definitely a better choice since it's an iconic design

I still think the 26715or might be your best bet if you do not have any other chronos or gold pieces. It is so darn unique, and rose with blue dial is something I would NEVER turn down. The 16202 is still amazing though, but we are talking same money for either, I rather a gold piece. That is just me though.

Would you rather wear a stainless Daytona or a gold sub?
I think the jumbo will be the safer bet for your money. But I’d rather wear the full gold banger myself.

26715or is my vote - I personally love having a chrono and use it every day. I also like to see movement on my watch (active seconds hand, even if it’s a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock). The 16202 is iconic though, so you can’t go wrong either way!

Spot on, if I had to have only one AP it would be a jumbo, no questions asked.
