It's rare to see any US President in person, even from far away, and I've only had the honor once, seeing Geo H Bush [41] give a speech. Today President Obama flew to CVG, then flew Marine One past our house to his final destination. Here's some pics from the deck.

Nice shots. My Son and I saw him in his motorcade driving thru Manhatten in July. There were NYC police and guys with machine guns all around.

Earlier in the week [Friday I think

] my wife and I happened to be sitting on the deck, complete with binoculars

, when a military 757 flying very low and slow, was seen testing different approaches to CVG. The drone from the engines was creepy especially after 9-11. Then Sat we saw the Marine helicopters flying trail runs as well. This was all before we found out about the presidential visit.
Cool to have it all in my backyard.

Very cool.

When Obama was vacationing on Marthas Vineyard a couple of weeks ago the planes flew right over the beach I was sitting at but the pics didn't come out well at all on my iphone.

We saw him fly over Queens on Saturday en route to JFK airport. Cant mistake Marine One and the airwing for anything!

No, it's a mylar balloon.

We saw them ascend skyward all weekend.

Nice shots Dan. I recently saw a documentary about Air Force One and it is amazing all of the care and preparation it takes to safely transport the President.

A friend of mine works for a large, world renowned aerospace company, and assisted in certifying some of Marine One's custom avionics (instruments) for flight use. He never went into detail (security clearance and all), but said she's one fantastic, capable and luxurious ride! Looks good on the outside, too. Sleek!
