Help me Decide thread

I have wanted a SS Rolex to compliment my TT GMT II for a while now and I decided today to screw it, sell some stock and buy it.

I wander into my AD and started looking around and they had just received today the new DateJust II, the one I liked was fluted white gold bezel, polished oyster bracelet, dark blue stick dial, gorgeous watch..huge (41
1mm)

My stock settles on Monday so I asked the dealer if he would hold it until Monday and he said "take it now, we'll settle up on Monday" I was about to do that when I mentioned my love for the GMT II Pepsi and he told me that he has a dealer friend who has a new one he could get for me. The price on the DateJust is $7575 - 20%, he will call me tomorrow with the price on the Pepsi

What would you do? That new DateJust II is beautiful, he gave me a great price. The Pepsi is a classic but I do already have a GMT, it's a tough call.

Which one and why please?

Pepsi GMT not in production anymore, a true classic. You can always buy the new Datejust. Good luck!

Well, I decided and if I had a clue as to how to upload an (albeit awful) picture taken with my Blackberry, I would.

May I beg your indulgence one more time. I have decided to buy the Datejust II over the GMT Pepsi but do you prefer Blue above or White below..

Have the DJ II with the Rhodium dial and blue arabic numerals. To me it was the best of both worlds.

The blue did nothing for me really... If I had about 20 or 30 other watches and endless cash Id love the blue one.

My vote is for the white of the options you posted.

White one looks best.......but again you are the one wearing it.......whichever one says "TAKE ME HOME" then that is the one you get.........good luck.

I am a fan of blue dials. That said, with a classy watch like that, I think you will get more wear with teh white dial as you can really wear it with casual or dress clothing.

Go for the Pepsi.
There will be more DJ 11 dials coming out so why not hold off?

I agree that white would be the way to go however I ultimately went with the Pepsi. I have wanted that watch for years, the price was right and they are getting more difficult to find. I put it on and it said "I'm home". Now maybe I'll buy the other two bezels as well.

I do appreciate everyones chiming in on this.
