18238 Running Fast After Service

My 1989 18238 was completely overhauled 1.7 yrs ago by Rolex service. I wore the watch to an event two months ago then put it back in the watch winder. Today, I noticed it’s 3 mins fast, after the watch being in the watch winder for two months.

Is this normal for a watch left in a watch winder for two months ?

Should I send it back in for service since it’s covered under my existing two year warranty ?

That is only 3 seconds per day fast, which I wouldn’t bother to change. Also, the rotation in a winder is much different than behavior on a wrist.

Wear it daily for a couple weeks and see how she does on the wrist.

Also, I have no idea why you wouldn't wear this awesomely gorgeous most perfect Rolex ever all day every day. I'd never take it off except to sleep.

3 seconds a day is definitely not something to worry about. As others have said give it some wrist time and see how you go

Within COSC spec. Better a bit fast, than slow, IMO. I’d be very happy with that result.

Have to agree just cannot see why any Rolex needs to be on one of these machine winder things, unless you have a watch with many many complication which no Rolex watch has.For any non perpetual calendar watch, a watch winder is totally unnecessary.If you have a choice of watches and do not wear it every day, it is not real chore to reset it and wind it by hand must take all of 30 second's.If you don't wear it every day you also reduce wear to the movement components, why waste that benefit by having it wound when it is not required to tell the time?Just cannot understand why many today worry and fret over for what is in the real world a few seconds out of 86400 seconds in a day.
