Hulk or Smurf ?

I love monochromatic watches, please share thoughts …

Let’s just in this case assume they have the same value, even though they don’t as one is stainless steel and the other is white gold, which do you prefer aesthetically ? Why ?

Hulk or Smurf ?

That’s a tough one. I could go either way. Generally I prefer blue, but in this case, I’m going with green. This shade of blue is unique.

I love the Hulk, but man, the Smurf next to it looks excellent. Can't go wrong either way.

All 3 are killer watches. Once you start wearing the WG, you know. None are wrong. I hope the OP gets one and let's us know.

I couldn’t separate either of them, they are both on my wish list, the Smurf has come down considerably from when I was looking into getting one, they both are stunning looking watches, to wear I suppose I would say Hulk simply down to the weight difference, but either to own I’d be very happy

The 116619LB, the flat blue dial matches the bezel color perfectly.
It is still the ultimate submariner ever made from the most resilient inert material suitable for the harsh marine environment.

Sunburst looks great combined with fluted bezels, but always looks a bit like something is off if you compare the colors of a ceramic bezel with the sunburst dial of the LV.

I had both, and eventually sold thewg sub and kept the Hulk. Absolutely love the sunburst green dial. The flat blue dial left me wanting after some time. I replaced it with yg sub and love that nearly as much as the Hulk. But the emerald green dial and bezel of the Hulk is absolutely gorgeous and I’ll never sell it.

I’m going for the blue. To me the 11 series LV is just too much, where the blue looks a little classier and well rounded.

I like blue better than green so blue sub. Also don’t love the green dial. Too neon green in the day light.

It’s really just a question of whether you like green or blue isn’t it

Hulk for me, not a fan of that much blue. A blue face and black bezel though would tempt me!

I owned both and now currently I only own the Hulk. The gold on the Smurf was much heavier and didn't fit the intended purpose of a diver's watch for my particular use case, so I sold it off.

The smurfs blue is quite light, not a royal blue which goes with most colours. Green also doesn’t exactly go with everything.

Excluding metal, it’s a case of do you prefer light blue or sunburst green.

Personally I’d go green

I prefer blue and I have owned both. The LV dial is exquisite compared to the flat blue. If all price were the same, I would go Blue but I was never crazy about the WG sub dial. I now have the newer WG sub and much prefer the dimensions of it.

I had the opportunity to buy a Smurf from my AD with a discount and came very close, but just couldn't reconcile the expenditure on something as frivolous as a watch. Some days I wish I had, some days I'm glad I didn't. Either way it's a stunner. I don't think the 12 series does it nearly as much justice.

I already owned the 116610LV which curbed my impulse to buy the beautiful 19, but only just. Anyone who hasn't seen one for real might be surprised at how different WG can look to SS.

Blue over green for an everyday watch. That said, these two are apples and oranges as they aren’t even in the same ballpark, price wise.

Buy which one you can afford. :)
