Incoming! First Rolex of the Stable

IMG_2090.jpg
IMG_2088.jpg
After years of going back and forth between which model to get. I finally decided on the 40mm Explorer 1 due to the versatility of it. Hoping to make many memories with it.

Congrats!

Thank you! I was considering the Submariner Date. That was the watch I wanted since the beginning and may still add it at a later date. What pushed me towards the Explorer, is that the Submariner is such a common watch and I see at least a minimum of one Submariner a day. Walking into the mall to pick up my watch yesterday, within 30 seconds of walking in, I see 3 Submariners on different people’s wrist.

You say "First Rolex of the Stable", but it might well turn out to be your one-and-done Rolex! Honestly, you can do just about anything and wear anything with your Explorer, and it´s a really rugged watch. An excellent choice, a real classic, do enjoy it...!

Great choice, I think what other people are saying about "one and done" comes from experience - I kinda feel the same way, I have 7 or 8 of them currently and guess what gets 90%+ of my wrist time - the watch you bought but in 39mm. Unfortunately you will probably need to go out and buy a bunch more before you believe us:-) - carry on I wouldnt have listened either:-)

What I’ve read which also helped me decide on this reference.
