Black Dial 226570 on Black NATO (Pic-heavy)

Hello all,

I decided to put a black NATO on my Explorer II black dial. I used an Artem NATO ($70, from Australia). I liked that that NATO had polished-steel keepers. Most I have found are brushed. It was tempting to use a NATO with some orange to make the orange hand pop, but I wanted the black to pop instead.

The black, high-quality NATO almost dresses up the watch, I feel.

I also feel a black NATO makes the watch a bit smaller compared to an Oyster bracelet... which was a welcome change on my 7-inch wrist.

Enjoy!

(Not sponsored, no affiliation with Artem. And my cat's name is "Drake".)

Looks excellent !
I like the simplicity/contrast of black and silver.
Thank you for posting all the photos.

I think it works well. Probably the last Rolex model that looks good on a nato.

That looks pretty spiffy!!! My thought is the black nato ties in nicely the black enamel in the bezel and the dial.

Black Dial 226570 on Black NATO (Pic-heavy)

That does look fantastic with the thinner lugs……
but to not wear the magnificent brushed oyster bracelet……. Conflicted

And yes, it down sizes nicely on your 7 inch wrist.

..Explorer & Spring Diver - I’m just here for the photos..
