Does anyone know much about these Speedies
Seen one of these a while back and tried to find out some info.
The case model is 144.022, 1971 ish with a moon landing case back and an 861 movement. I fired a note to watchco in OZ ages ago as they did have some NOS dial/ Bezels for this model. They said it was made in rather limited numbers but beyond that were not that helpful, anyone seen these before and know much about them?. Thank you in advance Dave |

It is a beautiful watch but the 144.022 caseback is puzzling. I can find no such ref# in any of my research. Can you provide a photo of the inside and outside of the back?
I have seen a similar watch that was a custom. Such customization is common among the Japanese collectors and I have been known to do it myself. Fr. John† |
