Tudor;s "most important watch launch".

I noticed a job advert (via WatchPro website) today for a Tudor Regional Manager here in the UK. What caught my eye was this comment in the job description:

"We are looking for a Regional Manager to help shape the most important watch launch to hit the UK for many years and to work with leaders in the luxury watch industry."

So time to speculate: what is this most important launch to hit the market for many years?!

Tudor Submariner will likely be the common guess? But I very much doubt that will happen.

Hi, I've just had a look over that regional manager job ad and I'd say they are alluding to the 2014 re-launch of Tudor in the UK as the 'most important watch launch'.
I'd love that job, purely to get some inside information, though I'm sure it's all on a 'need to know' basis.
I have zero sales experience but sure could talk about Tudors all day and digest pages of watch stats ha ha

Well the Tudor brand was not officially available in the UK expect now it's going to be available at the normal Rolex watch ADS or perhaps other outlets.

Tudor watches have been available in the UK for the last 10 years, via Rolex ADS and other outlets.

I think they spent about 10yrs away from UK shelves if I recall correctly, they stopped selling them here in the early 2000s.

I bought my Tudor Harrods edition from Harrods in London last year. What are you saying Padi?

BB58 Chrono??? *fingers crossed*

Maybe it will actually be a Chronograph, with the tri-register layout we saw at only-watches, harkening back to the old Big-Block and Tiger Chrono design.

Seems odd to just make ONE watch with a whole movement in that form factor... whatever it winds up being, please be sub-13mm in thickness and 40mm or less in diameter.

Correct but now almost 80 years old sometimes the memory is not as good as it once was, many years ago Tudor was not available in the UK.

It says "the most important watch launch to hit the UK", not just "Tudor's most important watch launch." Better be impressive.

Simply a retreading of a catch phrase from when Tudor was reintroduced to the market.

Absolutely nothing to do with a new Tudor watch, talk about dramatic rumours!

Seconding this, it sounds like what I was hearing when I stepped into WoS Regent Street on what turned out being the first day of Tudor's return to the UK market alongside the launch of the Black Bay blue and Ranger.

The emphasis on working with leaders in the luxury watch, this launch could also involve partnerships or endorsements that add prestige and allure to the new product.
