I have many references to provide and am happy to jump on a video call with interested buyers...

For your consideration is the legendary reference 25594 known as the “owl and the moon.” What makes this 25594SA so rare? This example has survived unpolished and comes equipped with its original box and papers, which makes it the only surviving example currently for sale in the USA. Not to be outdone, the 2124/2825 day-date/moonphase movement has recently been serviced and is ready to be enjoyed for many years by its new owner.

This iconic reference from AP achieves remarkable aesthetic balance, with its versatile proportions and its signature octagonal bezel which was inspired by the Royal Navy warship “Royal Oak.” The bezel is 18k solid gold fastened with white gold screws. It comes with a gray T21 Tapisserie motif dial, yellow gold hands, and yellow gold indices.

The case width measures 36mm, and those familiar with Royal Oaks know that it wears like a 39mm in a round case due to its unique shape and integrated bracelet which bring the lug to lug length to 47.5mm. As complicated as the day-date moonphase movement in this reference is, remarkably, the case measures only 9mm thick.

To add a bit of historical background, the 25594 reference was an incredible success for Audemars Piguet. It is the only AP model to have remained in the catalogue for over twenty years, being produced from 1985 to 2006 with an average yearly production of only 82 per year (average number taken from totals listed in the AP Archives).

Do not miss out on the opportunity to own this “grail” piece in such a rare and hard to find configuration of being unpolished, freshly serviced and with original box and papers.
