10 places that no longer exist...

An interesting collection of land masses and natural 'attractions' that disappeared through the centuries...

Doggerland is still alive and kicking, in lay-bys the length & breadth of Britain.

When I was in high school, a teacher showed us a short film about Glen Canyon, before the dam was built. Think it was done by the Sierra Club, and I found the images so compelling, it started me down the path on one of my life's great loves ~ backpacking through the gorgeous sandstone canyons of the southwest. There's also a chapter about Glen Canyon in Ed Abbey's Desert Solitaire that while wonderful to read, also makes me regret not having been able to visit the place myself, even more.

I've never seen that short film again, which is strange considering how widely available videos are in this day and age, but I read somewhere that it's shown at the Glen Canyon Dam visitor center.

Many great YT vids about abandoned malls, defunct theme parks, etc.

i hear Disneyworld is making a downward trend. Universal Studios is vastly better.
