Where can I get this?

hello,
I am getting more into mech watches and would love to
have a mechanical display like this.
I would hate to experiment on my sub!

Any one know where to get it from?

Considered an Atmos clock from JLC? Pretty fair price-wise imo

As previously said before, an Atmos would be a great conversations starter in one’s office.

I have a fully operational watch escapement model that is similar in size but mounted in a case. I don’t remember where I purchased, but I think it came from the UK. I can look in the box when I get home from WY in a few weeks if you’re interested, just PM.

You're right, that is one cool gizmo.
But you're also right about the price.
Bit much for a gizmo.

Yes, definitely interested... I will send you a PM. I need something that shows the main spring and winding of it and then the escapement wheel moving and the pallet fork going back and forth --- just want it for enjoyment purposes and show my kids/wife/parents how a mech watch works,
Looks like your model has it all ...
I will send you a pm...
thanks

The Glashutte Watch Museum has several of these on display. They were final test pieces for second year students, allowing them to demonstrate their mastery of tools and techniques on a working model. They were all lovely, some quite complicated.

I will check the manufacturer when I return from WY in a few weeks. I think it was around $400 USD.

That reminds me of the Tick-Tock watch I had when in 1973.

These things are way overpriced for what they are.... very cool but some are
$3500 and other $5000 --- that's crazy..
$500 or less, I can manage but not more.

Funny, I feel angry at myself. For 30years, I have been wearing a sub ---Never bothered to figure out what makes it tick. All I knew was just wind the crown and something happens and there are gears inside that make it all happen and it starts ticking. There is no battery in there and it is not a quartz watch.

About 6 months ago I got into the entire mechanism all the way from the main spring to the balance wheel and figuring out what was where...
Still it gets a little confusing sometimes but with more reading I am becoming more familiar on part name and how they come take part in the dance.

Sad to say most people are like me. Most do not know what is going on inside. As long as it says ROLEX on the dial, they are happy and ignorant like me..

Back when I worked at an AD I bought lots of stuff along those lines. One of the coolest things I had was a pair of cuff links that had a vintage Omega movement on one and a vintage Cyma movement on the other. I got rid of everything like that when I left the biz.

Funny thing is when I worked at an AD and would explain the design and function of the movement the majority of people would think that it was some fancy new invention.
