5205G-013 lumed hands - Do they increase legibility?

I really love the dark dial 5205’s but in a lot of pictures it seems the hands can disappear. (I recently flipped a black dial Daytona 116500 because I could not read the time) This is a deal breaker for me. Reading through threads a lot of you report the 5205 is hard to read the time.

I just noticed in the 5205G-013 Patek lumed the hands. Does this make a significant improvement in legibility? I was almost switching over to get the 5235R Regulator because hands seem very legible.

Any 5205G-013 owners experience? Does the lume make a difference?

This will be my first Patek. Appreciate any insights. Thanks.

The lume makes a world of difference for legibility.

Zero issues with legibility of the time. I think they should have put the moonphase on the lower half of the 24 hour circle is my only comment. Not that it makes a huge difference but the aesthetic of the moonphass would be way more prominent that way you kind of dont notice it as is.

Edit to add: I LOVE the 24 hour indicator. Have seen comments about it in negative light and I dont understand that. I personally love knowing am/pm for my watches since I rotate so much. Nothing worse than wearing a calendar after sitting a few days and guessing wrong and having to use the pushers to reset everything.

It’s my first Patek too. Lume does make a difference, although I wouldn’t say it’s a super legible watch. I love the 5205, but I wouldn’t say, if legibility is a concern, I’d go with an aquanaut.
