What month does AP normally do price increases?

Curious about APs historical trend of adjusting prices.

Does it happen randomly or usually on specific months of the year? Is it normally across the board or specific pieces?

Any month is a good months for price increases...

But if you had something coming in soon, I'd try to get it before January, just in case.

After seeing the price point on the Cubitus, I would expect very shortly.

100% but my thoughts are as soon as the pricing was revealed for the Cubitus I'm sure AP was salivating

I think so too. Would be weird to release a bunch of new references and then hike prices a couple months thereafter.

Prices are so high already, i think they should probably pause price hikes for a couple of years. The PM QPs are close to 200k. How much more can you really charge for those considering they are all below retail now.

There have been no price changes this year, at least not in my region. I think we are going to see a shift of strategy from 2x per year, to 1x or even a pause for a while.

What about a price drop like they have done in the last with precious metal models? Maybe after 150th.
Like other have mentioned, QP prices are out of control.

New, much more advanced, QP movement is coming. Unlikely they'll drop the price for that, unlike the bottom falls out of the market (and even then...).

16202 will get an increase to 35’000 CHF and still be a deal.

AP should better start thinking of a strategy to decrease, not increase.

If rolex is any indicator, other brands will just follow suit. Expect a $100k gold royal oak chrono in 2 years..

Gold pieces are very dependent on spot gold prices for all brands. If the bottom falls for gold then I would expect cut to gold pieces, same the other way around. It would be very unlikely to see any cut to steel pieces…

Not all steel granted, but very randomly I bought the taupe offshore when it first came out. A few months later the price dropped by £400 or £500 I think which seemed strange as most things were going up. It was also quite hard to get at that time. It’s since gone up a couple of times by over £2,500.

Unless of course the price of rubber happened to have tanked

Yeah I had a same occurrence with my steel 43mm ROO. Bought it, and then retail price randomly dropped around £500 I think it was. Just checked there and current RRP is nearly the same as 2 years ago when I got it.

If an AP drops a bit in price (like the 43 Taupe ROO) it’s FX driven as they align worldwide prices.

Fully expect to see their prices go up in January’25 however.
