Beware QR codes as well. Easy hack is to put a sticker over a real sign's / ad's QR.

That's crazy. I figured not using public USB ports for charging (Use A/C charging block instead) was safe enough.

For context, here’s a typical USB-C connector from Amazon Basics. It has a PCB, but no active electronics; the PCB is just used to connect the pins to the right wires in the cable.

I don’t know why the author is so cautious as to only recommend OEM charging cables (or a CT machine). Surely any big brand third-party from a reputable stockist would also be okay?
