Been driving for past 30 years Got into a crash now.

This was on the expressway. The ford Everest made a sudden full stop on lane 1. I wasn’t able to brake enough that I crashed into his rear.

It was probably a mix of circumstances. The lanes were merging with no cones and was just getting into position when it happened. I was fully loaded. I was a bit close. There was another vehicle that cut him off. And I think those new suv has those pre collision braking which is not got for Philippine roads.

yet to find out if i have PTSD

for now well...F**K

Very sorry to hear. How're you feeling now that the shock has worn off? Can the car be repaired?

These things happen. A similar thing happened to me due to being distracted by an attractive young lady in a leather mini skirt strolling along the opposite side of the road. The gent I rear ended was the spitting image of Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead). I had a broken leg and stayed in my car. He stepped out to check on me. The first thing he said was "did you see the chick in the leather skirt".

I hope you are well and there were no injuries for either party. Try not to stress over the accident. Put the pieces back together and move on to the next 30 years of crash free driving.

Sorry to hear that.

I know easier said than done but as long as not injured & insured - could have been a lot worsep

It can be shocking how much force is expended even in a sharp fender bender. It is truly a jarring experience. Glad it was relatively minor. The experience has certainly led to me backing off of the car in front of me, regularly.

Bert, you are here to tell us the traumatic experience. Your lucky and blessed for sure. Its normal what your feeling. Just be thankful of the vehicle you were driving as it did its job to protect you. With time this feeling will dissipate.

PTSD is a real thing after an automobile accident. Mine lasted a good few months - I was T-boned some years ago. Just takes some time.

Glad you're ok
