Finishing of the 4131 Movement

Hello fellow Rolex lovers.

I was curious if anybody knows categorically if the finishing of the 4131 movement is the same in all 126 models?

Specifically do any of you know if the level of finishing such as the cote de Geneve decoration and gold rotor are applied to all movements? Or is the additional finishing only on the Platinum models?

Have any of you seen a solid case back opened of a 126 reference?

Thanks all in advance.

Only the Pt model has a gold rotor afaik.
If the others had one Rolex would love to show off and give us a display case back.
The machine finishing is on all the 4131 the same, better than the 4130 if I look at pictures but mediocre if compared to other higher tier brands.

4132 movement on the Le Mans has a gold rotor as well. I haven’t inspected it under magnification and TBH not buying it for that.

If I was trying to get a “recent” watch for finishing I’d maybe be looking at something like a 5070.

Interesting, would be good to see one of the latest reference Daytonas solid case opened up to confirm if that rotor is gold or not.

Its not how any movement looks its how they run for accuracy and have long running life.

Assuming the 4131 was introduced with all the other 12 series Rolex watches, does this movement also have the cloud (low amplitude) that follow many of the other 12 series movements (32xx vs 31xx) have?

Sums up Rolex vs. haute horlogerie neatly.

It’s certainly possible, but haven’t heard of this so far and Rolex have had plenty of time to learn from all the 32xx moments already introduced

The 7140 movement in the 1908 has a gold rotor and an open case back too. It's very pretty and nicely finished.
