I hate polished center links
I think Rolex should offer brushed SS as an option on any of the watches that currently have polished center links. The Milgauss, GMT IIC,Yachtmaster Platinum, and even the Daytona would be more appealing to me if they had brushed finishes on the bracelet. I only pray that the rumored ceramic sub will keep a brushed finish! The polished links just show age too much. A watch is going to get scratched if you wear it, I know this. But at least my brushed bracelet on my GMT II still looks good after wearing it everyday for 2 years.

there is always an option to make it a brushed look.
I personally don't mind the PCLs. I think they add give that classy look. I do like the brushed oyster bracelet on my sub too. |

I am more concerned that the bracelet width seems to have remained the same while the watch case has gotten bigger.
Seems to me the bracelet looks too small on the new subs and new gmt lls. Just my opinion. |

The PCL's are prone to scratches, especially on the outside of the bracelet, for me, but they help to make the GMT look really good too. There's just no way around scratches if you wear a watch regularly. Brushed or no, it's going to show up eventually.

I certainly agree, they don't look right! And as far as PCLs are concerned, I've had them on my EXP II for several months with no babying and they still look good.

I totally agree with you pumpkin. I really hate PCLs as well, and I find them especially misplaced on any sports model. Since the Jubilee isn't my favorite either, I'm left with the option of buying a vintage bracelet or strapping it, leather or otherwise. Not good enough for me for the $ of a brand new watch.

I am still getting used to the gold ones on my GMT IICTT. They get scratched BUT they do buff out so easily. when I scratched my GMT 16750 links, they were scratched for a long time. I guess the gold is soft enough to buff nicely. IMHO of course.

I guess i'm a minority on this one, but I like PCLs on certain models--dress watch models like DateJusts, Daydates, and I even like it on my GMT-IIc. I just think Rolex should offer more options for brushed (which I also love) instead of trying to force it on all their product lines like it seems like they're doing. I do agree that I would never want to see PCLs on a Sub or SD.

Tough!
Brush it yourself if you are worried. It is YOUR watch after all.

I'm with you Matrim!!!! I like the PCL's as well...Gives it a contrast!!! Having said that I love the brushed finish on the Sub as well....Some models look good with it,others don't!
If you dont like the PCL's,brush them up..! Easy as that.. Rob.

I'm actually a fan of PCLs, but only on certain models. My first Rolex with PCLs is the Daytona and I think it looks awesome But, I definitely prefer my Sub without them.

My DJ has PCLs. I really like it. But the DJ is a dress watch.
Rolex should offer it's industrial models without PCLs. Who knows, maybe someone will actually go yachting with their YM or diving with their Subbie! |

I like the look of the PCL and am used to them. My TT sub has them so I don't mind on my GMTIIc. I think it adds a really nice look.

I like the PCL. As others have mentioned, you can get to a brushed look if you really want it!

I actually think it looks quite nice on the Daytona, though I know I'm in the minority.
