Sub in North Korea!

Recently returned from a trip to North Korea. Brought my SS Sub along as a traveling companion! Here are some pics from the Mass Games in Pyongyang - 35,000 people in unison... The background is actually thousands of school kids holding up colored signes to form pixels. Sorry for the poor pic quality!

Very cool! Most of the western world gets little glimpses of North Korea, but the place seem fascinating to me. I had the opportunity to go to the USSR in 1989, back when it was still 'the USSR', and the visit was an opportunity of a lifetime for me (coming from a one-horse town in NC).

Thanks for sharing.

very cool...
on a side note..I was fortunate enough to attend the Opening Ceremonies of the 84 Olympics in LA and we did the same thing with the place cards on the seats..that formed the flags of the countries in the Coliseum...

Why were you there??? Did the N. Koreans even know what a Rolex is? What was your trip like? I'd love to know.

Thanks for looking. Yeah, I think Rolex is pretty much universally known. Am always on the lookout!! Saw one or two, but almost sure they were fakes. Foreign currency is quite hard to come by there.
