AP 16202ST and VC 222 steel side by side
I know @salnuaimi showed us a side by side of the 16202BC with the 222. Here’s one with the 16202ST.
To me, the dial on the VC photographs “brighter” than it really is while the 16202’s dial is quite hard to photograph and show off the blue properly. Both dials are dark almost black in certain angles. The VC dial is a muted grey blue, vintage ish but not for me. The bracelet of the VC tapers well and really does feel like a second skin which was my initial impression when I tried on the gold version when it first came out. However, the weight of the steel 222 feels light. Lighter than the AP. While it’s nice to see the 222 in steel I think it would have been better in another dial color such as grey/charcoal. But maybe it’s because I have the overseas in blue and also the jumbo in blue as well so it feels redundant for me if I got it. For now I think the 222 in gold feels more special. In the meantime, I want to see how VC decides to re introduce its jump hour… |
