Need help with Box #

Hello,

This is my first post on the site. I am looking at purchasing a 1968 Vintage Rolex Datejust Ref. 1600 / 1603 from a jeweler in Beverly Hills. The watch does not come with the green box, and I would like to purchase one separately. Does anyone know the proper box # I should buy? I see a lot listed on e-bay.

If you search the forum, you'll find a number of reference threads on boxes. I see that Google also returns some good information on the internet. You can also search for sales of complete sets with box and papers. Some of them will be falsely assembled, but if you find a dozen examples, you'll surely be able to separate the real ones from the BS. It can be fulfilling and educational to do some of the research for yourself, since that's the type of thing we all do when we want to know these things.
