If the BLRO/Pepsi was on a brushed oyster bracelet, would it be more popular??

Wondering if the BLRO was offered on an oem brushed oyster like years back, would it be more popular than on jubilee?? Historically the Pepsi was on a brushed oyster bracelet (ie.Magnum PI).

Two totally different looks but it seems if Rolex would eliminate the pcl might take the GMT line in a very popular direction. The GMT would have a retro/sportier vibe on a brushed oyster and the jubilee gives all the bling without the fuss of hairline scratches as the pcl oyster.

It would be a lazy/easy move for Rolex to introduce a bracelet change to the line up but it may be very popular. Maybe introduce a brushed oyster look on a new Coke GMT.

No. It would be less "cosmopolitan". I think brush belongs to dive watches, tool watches. GMT is basically a desk watch where the desk is the pilot seat.

No. The brushed oyster crowd is undoubtedly in the minority.

The jubilee is arguably more blingy than the PCL oyster and is way more popular.

A bit of shine goes well with the modern GMT and the market data supports this is the peoples preferred choice.

I've seen people have their PCL's brushed and I have to admit that it looks good! However, Jubilee is still my favorite bracelet, and it wouldn't sway my preference.

I love Oyster with PCLs … the contrast is perfect … no need to fix what’s not broken …

With a sub bracelet with glidelock and brushed - it would be the perfect watch.

It would definitely appeal to me more in this guise.

If it were on a brushed oyster, mine wouldn’t live in the bank’s safe deposit box with the BLNR.

Yes I think it would make the watch even more popular.

I actually like the PCL but the brushed is so much nicer. I’m thinking about getting mine brushed but I’m a chicken.

I got a Tudor 58 GMT MC because I wanted a new GMT but without the bling look. If Rolex made a matte one again I would be first in line. The ceramic GMTs are good looking watches but basically look like a completely different watch to the older models that a lot of us grew up admiring on Magnum PI, Moore's Bond, etc.

The Sub doesn't have as much of the same problem because while the bezel is shiny now the bracelet isn't so it's not as overwhelming. (Although I do like how the SD bezel tones down the shine with the gradations.)

I bought mine with an oyster and purchased a Jubilee simultaneously. I truly missed the look and functionality of my 1675 Pepsi and Sub LV, SD43 and DSSD-JC. With that said, I bought a band for the 40mm sub with a glidelock and have never looked back. I don’t care if it’s not original to me, it’s an option that I believe should be an offering.

Probably not. At least not significantly. Yes, PCLs are a deal breaker to some. Probably the same way as a brushed bracelet would be to some. But I feel like the majority wouldn't care. Plus a BLRO is already kinda flashy. Makes sense to go for the PCLs. Now, the GRNR... I bet that would create a lot of competition to the Sub.

I bet more people prefer it on jubilee anyways, as I do. Best of both worlds!

I could get on board with this. I prefer the older brushed GMT Master look over the newer iteration. Not saying I dislike the shinier PCL version, but I just prefer the classic look.

Well they always used to be brushed until quite recently. Personally, I’d like them to be less precious about bracelets like the past when you could almost pick and choose.

Bit hard to see how they get more popular. They’re already massively hyped!

What would be interesting is having the choice between PCLs and BCLs (in addition to jubilee). That would be the enthusiast move by Rolex. Seems revolutionary, doesn’t it.

Well this is what Rolex did in the past. Brushed oyster or Jubilee. Two great options.

I have never liked stainless (or titanium) PCL on any watch.

Wouldn’t be for me as I never get to think about the bracelet on the BLRO. I can’t get past the bezel & dial which totally leave me cold aesthetically.

I don't think the BLRO bracelet is a deal breaker for many, so possibly negligible impact.

Oh yes! I'd take the BLRO on an Oyster rather than the Jubilee.

The more choice the better.

On the personal taste front, I tried mine on the brushed Oyster from my 116610 and to my surprise it didn't work for me visually and the clasp felt odd. It works fine on a Sub but made the SS BLRO feel odd to wear - to me at least.

I wouldn't mind trying a brushed Jubilee but I think the 1267 series has evolved to sit on the wrong side of the bling line.

My perfect BLRO would be on a brushed Oyster bracelet with a glide-lock clasp, so YES!
