1665 red writing

Hi all,

Potentially looking at purchasing a 1665 but has small chip in dial at 5 o’clock … can this be repaired or best to leave original

Many thanks

I think it depends, before pictures its hard to tell, but if i hade the money for a watch like that and with "a small chip" i would leave it as is, its a old watch not brand new and it brings charm to it but need to see pic.

Please post photos. It's really your choice to decide what is "best" for yourself and would probably depend on how noticeable the damage is on the wrist.

If the chip is a loss of paint on a dial with spidering, then you could find yourself fighting a losing battle with more chipping.

I'd suggest finding a better 1665 - just my

Value is in the dial, not in a damaged one.
