Replacement dial / hands during RO service?
So Clearwater tells me they found some moisture damage on my 15300 blue dial and hands. A replacement is $600 or so. I know the rigamarole about replacing dial/hands devalues a watch…but this isn’t like putting a luminous service dial on an old Tritium Sub.
I also don’t know if the “service” dial would be the identical - ie are they made the same old way / same material / hue of blue? They’re very slow to respond to these questions…so I am posting here… Ready to pay for a full movement service and maybe refinishing but wasn’t expecting to hear about the dial. They said you couldn’t see the little white marks with the naked eye. Agree there as I didn’t notice them… What are opinions on AP dial replacement on a 12 year old / discontinued RO? Thanks |

If it’s the newer blue (sunburst vs. older flat blue) I would probably go for it.

I dont think i would have an issue since its a newer watch, if it was a 5402 different story. Just my opinion.
