Vintage Rolex from WW2
Hi folks,
I've fairly recently inherited some possessions of my late grandfather, one of which is a Rolex watch that I believe he cam into possession off around when he was in Egypt during WW2 as a radio repairman and DJ. I've been trying to research it, but I cannot find a watch with an exact face match on the Internet. It's clearly a Rolex Oyster and i think its from 1942, but beyond that I know nothing... Anyone have any insight into the model? It's serial is 192359. Hopefully the attachments work! Thanks in advance for any help. |

Probably a ref 4220 or similar. Original dial and hands (that's good). Congratulations! Nice family heirloom.

The serial number is in the 1942-43 range.
