Rolex 116520 SS White Dial first time service

Hi,
I purchased my Daytona 116520 SS White dial back in late 2010 and have never serviced it. I've worn this watch as my daily since i purchased it and have loved every moment.

I am looking to service it at my AD very soon, i haven't noticed any problems with the movement, but its had its fair share dents. The bezel has scratches, the crown has a dent, the crystal has a scratch.

I know some people when they send their watches to service they ask specific requests. (such as try to retain original parts as much as possible)

Are there any special requests that I should be asking for when i drop the watch off at my AD for service?

Usually RSC will give you a list of parts you have to replace (e.g. a damaged crystal that may affect waterproofness) and optional replacement (e.g., bezel).

You can also request not to the polish if you want. If you have a bunch of deep dents/dings you way not want to polish as a lot of metal would have to be removed to get them out.

I also recommend you send directly to RSC so you can deal with them directly, rather than go through AD.

Thanks, i thought perhaps sending it through the AD might help me build up rapport for possibly future purchases from them (A good reason to come in and say hi!)

I think i'll need the bezel replaced as they won't be able to polish near the engravings, as with the crown.

It would be super nice to have it looking new again with a polish, but i also appreciate that each dent and scratch is a part of its history on my wrist.

Do i need to hand them anything else (box, papers etc) besides the watch when i drop it off for service?

If you want build up rapport with AD , a better way would be buying other watch brands or jewellery as these items are the ones they make the most money from
