Greetings chaps and chapess's !!! New Daytona SS on my wrist!
Whassup my fellow Rolex lovers!
Joined this forum about a year and a half ago, been lurking and absorbing the massive and brilliant knowledge and enthusiasm on here! Should i say, you guys had all subconciously kinda pushed me to start the search for an SS daytona I've got one NOW!!! thanks people! I was searching on and off for approx 18 months, being UK based the premiums seemed to range from £500 to £1500 over rrp! Holidayed in switzerland, in sept last year, nothing there. December took me to France, Paris and Lyon, nothing there. October last year was Egypt, nothing there either. THEN!!, i was in Saudi Arabia in August, walked into an AD in Madinah (holy muslim city) and asked the all to familiar question......the chap (dressed in local garb, not usual attire for AD staff) said..... "i've got two" Naturally i was chuffed !!!!! so me and my pal said we'll take them both. Ran back to the hotel (in 50 degrees C heat) got my plastic, and bought it! (My pal didn't, he's Mrs wouldnt let him - BABY ON the WAy Mad Bills To pay!) Pics soon guys! Its an M serial with a 78490 'older' style clasp! I LOVE IT! Black Dial!

Yeah maN! i got the black dial.....
Im still trying to figure out how to post pictures!! my lil bro will be along to help me soon enough!! Other watches - Breitling Bentley 6.75 - black dial w/ speed bracelet. Breitling Aerospace Avantage w/ professional bracelet - black dial The daytona is my first rolex! and to think that as recent as two years ago, i didn't even wear a watch! |
