Icon7 Happy National PIZZA Day!

I lived in Chicago, IL for a few years and Luv Gino's thick crust pizza.
https://www.ginoseast.com/mag-mile (You can order them!)

In San Diego, CA my go to pizza place is Filippi's Pizza Groto.
https://realcheesepizza.com/

I prefer Pepperoni, Black Olives and Mushrooms on my wheel/pie!

Love a good pizza. Our fav is just your basic Margherita. It’s simple and all about the pizza crust and the freshness of the tomato, mozzarella and basil

I would love a handmade pizza from scratch. Where they let the dough rise overnight and then toss it up in front of you.

First time ordering delivery pizza in a long time was literally 30 mins ago.

Marco’s Large Pepperoni. Wasn’t bad. (Marco’s is the only place that delivers to my house).

Not crazy about thick crust but otherwise I'm pretty easy.
Life's too short to bitch about pizza.

I voted "pizza is pizza" - hard to pick a favorite. Detroit style with a crunchy crust is tough to beat!

Thick chewy crust, veggie supreme. It's the perfect meal.

Neapolitan style pizza > all others

New Haven style is great too when I'm feeling something extra crunchy.

I didn't even know this - but I went to a new pizza shop in the town square yesterday.

A Margherita and an eponymous salad for lunch.

Tasted good but I had to explain spumoni to the gelataio.

They did something with their special salad that was a great idea (at least to me) the lettuce had been meticulously sliced in the width of fettuccini and the onion shaved similarly. So no cutting - just swirled it on the fork like pasta - brilliant.

No pics because I didn't know it was pizza for me on Pizza Day...

That lettuce prep sounds good to me. Maybe that is a new trend that will take off and become an option for salad too. I'd like to try it for sure!

So, Detroit, St Louis, Colorado and my favorite QC pizza doesn't count?
Actually North Dakota has a distinct style as well.

A) I like that there are supposedly eight types of pizza and they name six!

B) I love almost all pizza, unless it has something like ricotta, ham, or pineapple.

C) We used to love Giordano's stuffed pizza when we first moved to Chicagoland, but haven't had a stuffed pizza in many years. Stuffed pizza is a young man's game!

D) Meatballs is probably the best single ingredient on a pizza to me

Eight that seem to be mentioned on internet a lot are;
Neapolitan Pizza
Chicago Pizza
New York Pizza
Sicilian Pizza
Greek Pizza
California Pizza
Detroit Pizza
St. Louis Pizza

I didn't realize I only put six when I listed them in the beginning...

LOVE me some pizza! Make our own dough and have a Lynx pizza oven but still can’t match our local Apizza joint. The burrata is by far my favorite!
