Traded OP 41 for OP 36

Got the green dial 41 a few months back in a trade. Love the green dial, which is my favorite color. I have a 6.75 inch wrist and wear watches ranging from 33mm (calatrava) to 41mm (sub-c). At first, I thought the bigger dial on the 41mm OP was perfect, since the dial is the star of this watch. Over time, the proportions began to wear on me. A little too much dial. Not bad, but off.

I decided to trade it straight up for an unworn OP 36, same color. The 36mm is a classic size, and while 41mm fits some people better, I think the proportions of the 36mm are just perfect.

With your wrist size and photos, I'd agree 36mm looks better.

Great decision. 36mm is the perfect size for an OP.

I could probably wear either size but all my OPs are 41mm. If you were able to make this swap with out any financial loss more power to you.
Of course it’s just speculation but I‘ve pondered the demand 36 versus 41. I would think 36 that appeals to both men and women would be harder to get but maybe higher production?

Thank you all! And to anyone considering getting one of these, do it. The symmetry of the dial and the color are amazing. I can’t say they will
Keep the green forever. It’s a rich shade that adds a pop of fun to a collection. The brushed bracelet allows the dial to do all the talking.

I agree with you. You could have worn either size just fine but I much prefer the 36 for the better proportions. A classic look.

There’s so much dial with the 41…. 36 looks best on most, IMHO.

Agree. Even for larger wrists there’s “too much dial” on all the 41mm (and 40mm) OPs, DJs and Explorer 1’s.

OP41 looks too big for your 6.75 inch wrist. You made a great decision.

36 looks like a better fit. I have a 7 inch wrist and would have made the same decision. Nice to have been able to try out both.

The 36mm OP is such a nicely proportioned watch. And it looks perfect on your wrist. Love the green dial, congrats and enjoy!

I have a 7 1/4 wrist and the 34mm 114200 looks best to my eyes and no massive doorstep 3 and 6 markers. With the beefing up of case edges etc......its almost exact proportions of the classic 1601/1603/16030 36mm datejusts.
