1967 Breitling 806 Navitimer MK8 Big Eye Dial Gold Cap LNOS Venus 178 Archives Paper
For sale is a Like New Old Stock (LNOS) 41mm yellow gold capped Breitling Navitimer Mk8 “Big Eye”. The 806 originally left the factory in April of 1967, and is accompanied by an archive extract.
The Navitimer features an 18 karat yellow gold capped stainless steel case, which is accented by an unidirectional slide rule bezel. The Breitling features a black “Big Eye'' dial with tritium hour markers, polished gold tritium coated hands, and oversized silver guilloche sub dial registers at: 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. The movement used in the 806 is the manual wind Venus Caliber 178, which is running flawlessly. Condition: The 806’s case remains flawless with the crown side having acquired a vivid oxidation on its gold components from spending the better part of the last few decades sitting in a desk drawer. The dial remains free of any imperfections while the tritium hour marks and hands have acquired a lovely golden cream colored patina with age. Overall the Breitling is in LNOS condition and is a truly exceptional example of a gold capped 806 “Big Eye” Naivitimer.
