Thanks for sharing. So basically he is saying they will add the coke and not discontinue any other SS colors, except make more of some and less than others. Is that the summary?

It must be that time of year again. Maybe they'll get it right this year with their Coke predictions.

The stopped clock principle will apply at some point, then we can say we were right all along. There's no harm in hoping.

Well, Rolex did file for a red/black bezel patent (process) in 2022, which later became public in 2024.

Here is a direct quote from the ‘Summary Of The Invention’ section of the patent:

“More specifically, a first object of the present invention is to propose a solution for manufacturing a ceramic component that makes it possible to obtain a ceramic whose colour is controlled, notably making it possible to obtain a multicoloured, notably two-tone, notably red and black result.”

I'd expect a red/black bezel GMT truly is coming any year now.

I had the chance to buy a black red GMT in the early 80s and chose two tone gold/SS and black bezel. Wonderful watch back then! So if the produce the red/black GMT again, pass…

Yes... that's true.
There will be a Coke GMT - you are right.

Yea, me too. I suspect when the Coke does drop it will first be in PM only like the Pepsi.

Maybe? Rolex did file a patent for the Red-Black bezel 2 years ago? Who knows?
The return of RONR would be great with an PM OF option? Or even on SS.

Cheers,

I think you may be right. I guess they way they recycle old looks yet renewed is what keeps some of these styles so relevant.

That would be a marketing blunder by Rolex. LHD watches don't sell well and people have been clamoring for a coke.

That’s exactly why Rolex would do it. They couldn’t care less what people desire

I have the only correct answer- I (and countless others) will continue to lust after them and never be given the opportunity to buy one at retail! What do I win?!

In 2025 the Rolex GMT will be in high demand because...... you know why. :)

People are easily led sheep, so it seems reasonable that Rolex see themselves as the shephard

I wonder if the Coke comes out in white gold or rose gold. The coke will come back some day and the Hulk will also return to the submariner at some point as well. Not many color ways left on the pallet.
