Well, my SA has delivered again. It's barely been a month since I picked up my 15510ST and now my 26238Ti has arrived.

I had both the titanium and blue dial steel models on my interest list and told my SA to let me know whichever comes first. I like the steel one for the blue dial and I like the titanium because I don't have any watch yet in titanium. I was initially worried about the thickness and chunkiness of the Offshore models but this Ti is so light and comfortable (especially on a strap) that I quickly forgot about it. After about 1-2 hours on my wrist the thickness didn't bother me at all and I got used to it.

I love the petite tapisserie dials on these models and I find the subdial designs much more interesting than some of the other Offshore models. The more I looked at the watch the more I loved it. It also comes with an extra black strap but I'm thinking about picking up either the baby blue or green one to go along with it. If anyone has photos of it on different coloured straps I'd really appreciate it.

We also managed to try on the new perpetual calendars and really loved them all. The blues on the steel RO and Code were stunning and the sand gold was gorgeous. Depending on how the light hits the sand gold it can look almost silver in certain angles. My SA says I can go for one of these next so I've added them to my list. No time frame yet on when it might show up but I told my SA no rush, I can't afford to keep buying an AP every month lol.

At the end I tried on a 43mm just for fun and it's a big boy for sure but it's slightly thinner than the 42mm and I think it still works on my wrist. Perhaps something to consider for the future.

Congrats on the pickup! I have been watching the current releases to decide to give the green light on this exact model or not.

I was thinking orange would be the fun and bright strap, since orange and grey look so good together.

Was also thinking a grey strap and potentially white.

A titanium beast!! Great combo!! This is such a good watch. The fact that you can change the strap is so nice. Love it. Wish I could pull it off!

Enjoy!

Congratulations! You are one and done with ROO now. Cannot wait to see what’s next for you.

How was the Code QP. In the picture, it looks too soft to me but not sure what IRL will be like. And the 43mm blue ceramic ROO is nice but I don’t think I should get another ROO anymore.

Great offshore, I think it’s the most versatile 42mn version.

It was really nice. It's a light/baby blue similar to the blue strap in my first photo. If you like that or the light blue 37mm RO or the 42mm Gulf blue ROO you will probably like this. The dial has a subtle smoke effect.

My wife who is not crazy about the Code and not really into blues said "oooh that's pretty" when she first saw it. Then she took a loupe to look at it closer (I don't think I've ever seen her do this before )

I decided to weigh the watches for fun to see the difference between steel and titanium and they are actually kind of close considering how much bigger the Offshore is.

Congrats!!!

Love my 26238 Ti.
One reason is the light weight.

I haven’t had the chance to weigh mine yet.

How many links removed on your Ti Beast?

I'm really 50/50 on the QPs. I think the sand gold feels more special and I love the weight of it but steel and blue is classic AP. My wife said I should go with the sand gold but I'll probably go back to the boutique to take another look this week and decide.

I removed 3 links but it feels a little tight when I'm outside and sweaty so I'll probably go and have the boutique add another link back. It really is such a great and comfortable watch, I haven't taken it off since I've gotten it.

The light weight really helps make the 26238 Ti comfortable.
Similar experience for me with the forged carbon 26400 ROO which weighed 118 g.

My Deepsea with the diver extension and several links removed weighs 203 g, and that amount is significant on my wrist.
I imagine the steel (blue) 26238 could be heavier with a more massive case and thicker bracelet vs the Deepsea.

The design of the 26238 bracelet link screws isn't optimal.
Instead of a single-piece rod with a threaded portion, the design uses a small cap with threading that locks down a pin that connects the links.
That threaded cap is really small and light, and easily bounces away.

Good info. I don't have a Deepsea but I have a Pepsi meteorite. I've never weighed it but it definitely feels much heavier than the ROO. I love the heft of it too so I guess it just depends on the mood you're in.

The surprising thing to me was how on the wrist the ROO doesn't feel much thicker/chunkier to wear than the Pepsi even though it's 3mm+ thicker. That was my main concern before purchasing it.

That small cap was quite a surprise when I tried to resize my bracelet myself

But as I am biased. I would have to say that the SS 26238 wears much better than the Deepsea due to the chunkier bracelet. The heavier bracelet actually balances out the heavy case while in the case of the Deepsea, the bracelet is too thin and light so the watch can be wobbly on the wrist if not adjusted to be very tight on the wrist.

But again. I am biased

It does not feel awkward probably as I mentioned in the other response. It is big but balanced. I was surprised at how much I like it too. The reason I got it was because my wife likes it and I also want a historic model. But what a pleasant surprise.
