Bracelet stretching
Hey everyone,
My DD is a year old and I'm wondering if there is something wrong with my bracelet. The watch is not a perfect fit on my wrist meaning that it moves a couple of inches if I swing my arm but it's too tight if I take one link off. So, while my watch was in my hand today, I held onto the face (with the bracelet floating in the air) and the bracelet seemed to dip a touch lower than the face (sorry if this doesnt make sense). Is this normal or does that mean the bracelet is starting to get messed up? I read something about how if the watch is too loose, it puts too much weight on the watch. Even if the pins within the bracelet are starting to wear, is this the end of the world? Can't I just have the Rolex service center put new pins in a year or so? BTW, I only wear my watch on weekends so it can't be that much wear and tear. |

Unless you sandblast for a living your bracelet can't be very worn... and the links wear, not the pins. Although apparently funny at first read, 777 brings up a good point - your skin is much drier in the cold weather so your jewelry will seem looser than in the summer.
I prefer to be able to put a finger between the bracelet clasp and my wrist but others prefer a tight fit. Each link is about 1/4 inch so if taking a link out makes it too small you're probably one of those people who doesn't fit into either fit camp.

I understand your concern but would believe your watch is just fine. You should not need any adjustments for years to come other than normal servicing by Rolex when due (I think every 5-7 years depending on whom you listen too).
Good Luck and Enjoy Your Watch
