Pepsi vs SS Daytona

Notice recently the Pepsi supply has dropped significantly (at least from what I read).

Anybody has a wild guess what is the Pepsi vs SS Daytona supply ratio?

I understand it's all depends on dealer volume and geographic location as well but heard from a local AD they receive an average of 2 dozens SS Daytona a year and most to be black dial but never mentioned about numbers of Pepsi their allocation was just said very few.

You are comparing a specific GMT to 2 models. Dealers get plenty of Pepsis. There is no shortage.

The ADs get way less Pepsis than Steel Daytonas. Believe me or not.

It was way easier to get the Pepsi from my AD than the Daytona. Not sure how many he gets I’ve never asked but that was just my experience

My AD also said they get more steel Daytonas than Pepsis. Neither of them are on my wishlist.

At my AD BLROs are more common.

Comparison should be White dial or Black dial steel Daytona vs Pepsi, or all steel GMT vs steel Daytona.

Nobody knows how Rolex distributes their watches all over the world.
They safeguard this type of information better than the security of Fort Knox.
It’s funny how some claim to know for sure

It may be so, but that doesn’t mean they receive more Pepsis than SS Daytonas. That only means that the difference between supply and demand makes the SS Daytona more difficult to get in your AD (and probably all of them).

I do not know the case of the Pepsi (I will ask my AD next time, just to know it), but I know they receive way less LV Subs than SS Daytonas… but “their waiting list” is much higher than for the LV.

At a wild guess I'd put if at about four feet two inches.

A quick check with most of our trusted sellers on the forum and actually they have more BLRO/Pepsi in stock for sale than BLNR GMT. More now than Christmas.
In fact there are more Pepsi’s for sale now than SS Daytonas at our trusted sellers so it might be a good time to grab a BLRO if you are on the fence. There are plenty of Pepsi’s for sale in the wild now both SS jubilee/oyster and even PM and PM meteorite dials.

A quick check of Chrono 24 shows 798 Rolex Daytona 116500 vs 758 Rolex 126710.

I know that’s not ADs’s but it gives you an idea of how many are for sale. I’d say about the same

FWIW, my local AD told me they had yet to sell any Pepsi or Batman this year but have sold multiple SS Daytonas since last November to now. I actually believe it given the prices we’re seeing and the amount of watches on the secondary market.

In a non transparent market place it is all speculation. The SS Daytona is the one, for me at least.

Really seems that it depends on the dealer. I could have had the BLRO when I got the BLNR, but I still wait for the SS Black Daytona.

Pepsi vs SS Daytona

I live in a large metropolitan city… I see panda Daytonas from time to time and know a handful ppl the own one as well.

Over the years I’ve only seen 1 Pepsi in the wild… I’m very fortunate to own one myself. My AD said they get about the same amount of Pepsis to Pandas a year. She guesses a lot of ppl safe queen Pepsis hence why you don’t see them often.

Pepsi vs SS Daytona

All in all both are attainable if you have a good relationship with your AD and most importantly the SA who will vouch for you.

I was offered a white Daytona on my birthday and I said I wanted to wait until a black was available. That took an additional 8 months. So I still question the oft-cited legend that ADs are drowning in these things but they just won't sell them to regular people.

This thread is gold.

Noticing more replies of posters trying to pump their own, non-BLRO or Daytona watch than actually answering OPs question.

I was offered a white Daytona because my AD couldn’t deliver on a Pepsi. 10
Months later I got my Pepsi.

Both super hard to get, being offered either one would be amazing, but IMHO, getting offered a SS Daytona is much more difficult/unlikely and more of an event if you ask me.
