Bulova Snorkel 666 Single Crown Compressor

Incredibly rare 1962 (M2) Bulova single crown compressor.

36mm with 18mm lugs. You regularly see the double-crown but seldom this single-crown model. The case, caseback and signed crown are in incredible condition and the famous ‘B’ logo present on the rotor in the original and correct Bulova automatic movement.
The rare bidirectional Bakelite (plastic resin) bezel is present and turns a little too freely (most have been replaced as they are so fragile).
The dial is a lovely glossy black but it’s my opinion that the lume and original syringe hands have been tastefully relumed at some point years ago. For this reason I have priced it keenly.
The movement was checked by my watchmaker but comes with no guarantees and of course it should no longer be thought of as waterproof. Happy to answer any questions.
£995 Gbp offers considered. No returns.
This listing also appears on my eBay account where shipping abroad goes through the Global Shipping programme
