Do you guys really enjoy weighing your watches like I do? LOL!!

Hi guys,

Call me anal, call me crazy, call me a tosser......hell, call me whatever you damn well like......but I enjoy having my watches weighed!!

Present collection...

SS Sub-date = 135 grams

SS/Pt YM = 146 grams

TT GMT-IIC = 165 grams

The above weights have been taken with all orginal links as supplied from Geneva.

So......are YOU as nuts as I am?

And now I must rush off to work - Tuesday morning here, coming up to 6:30 am.

Bye all - JJ

Cant say I do, it has never even crossed my mind. Why do you want to weigh them? Are you afraid someone is stealing them micron by micron, and one day they will re-assemble them....that would make a good film.

So......are YOU as nuts as I am?

Is this a trick question?!?!?

I can honestly say I haven't weighed any of the Rolex's I've owned.

Seriously it would be good to compare weights before and after a polish to see how much metal is removed!

The only watch that I've weighed before is my SS Offshore because that beast is heavy. The way I wear it (minus one link) weighs 221g. Can you imagine?

I will weigh my IWC Mission Earth because it feels a little heavier than the Offshore and let you know.

Now I'm wondering how I could ask the person working behind the counter at the deli if they'd mind weighing mine.

The two links I have taken out are legitimately heavy, I was surprised.

I wonder how much those two links are worth just sitting quitely in the box now that you have taken them off. Seems a shame any have to come off when they are made of platinum and diamonds...

I never polish my watches simply 'cause I don't need to.

When I received my SS Sub-date from Bubba, it weighed in at 135 grams. It did have a few scratches which I got my AD watchmaker to take off; but that did not make any difference to the weight - still the same.

Hmmmm....nice scale and that weight seems spot on. When I weighed my TT Blue Sub, it showed up as 150 grams with all original links.

I get on the scale with my watch 350lbs. Take the watch off back on scale 350lbs so therefore my watch weighs nothing

Tosser J let me get this straight. You wake up before 6:30am on a work day and have enough time in the morning to weigh all of your Rolexes on a scale and post the results.....LOL.
