An important & useful tip to all Exp-II owners!!

Hi guys,

When you buy a new Exp-II, you will notice that it comes with 13 links all up (does not include the 2 SELs).

However, for some unknown reason, Rolex supply the watch with a 7+6 arrangement which, in my opinion, is all cockeyed and gives the wearer an uncomfortable and de-centralised fit of the clasp on the wrist.

So you now have TWO options.....

Option 1: If you have a 7¼~7½" wrist, you will NOT need to take off any links; but just have one link transferred from the '6' side to the '12' side, giving you a new arrangement of 8+5 - i.e. 8 links on the '12' side and only 5 links on the '6' side.......like this!!

Option 2: If you do need to take off one link, then do so from the '6' side giving you a new configuration of 7+5.

Important: In any event, make sure there are only FIVE links on the '6' side - NO MORE.....and then you will get a perfectly centralsed clasp fit on your wrist like this!!

Good luck - JJ

Ever think it might just be your wrist that's cockeyed

Good question, Martin.......in that case add on the extra link to the '12' side to give you a new configuration of either 8+6 or 9+5......14 links either way since you'd be adding one to the original 13.

Now, since I've never ever had to ADD a link, I'm not sure which of the 2 above arrangements would work best for you - it would have to be on a trial and error basis and finally ensure that the clasp sits dead centre like mine does in the second picture.

JJ: you are right on point with this tip I set mine up like option #1 shortly after noticing the clasp was off center on my wrist. It works perfectly.

You do that, Boyd......just bearing in mind that you keep only 5 links on the '6' side. Let me know how it goes.

Cheers - JJ

And when you are finished, just check it out with your index finger.

JJ Where can I get my degree on bracelets and clasps like yours?

I also hate when clasps are not center on the back of your wrist.

No guys......those are old pics of my former Exp-II. Just posted this thread to help out the guys who own one so they could get the bracelet fitting right and the clasp properly centralised.
