H Moser Pioneer Perpetual Calendar MD in steel with funky blue fume dial

Any thoughts on this watch (other than a strap change)? I’m fine with the size, but I don’t know much about the brand or this model.

I have a green Moser Pioneer. Very nice watch. Beautiful movement. Pioneer is “moderately “ priced for the 1%.

The issue I see with this particular piece is that it is a manual wind. With a perpetual calendar, it's important to keep it running to keep everything in sync once set. That being said, since this doesn't have a moon phase complication it is less important. The other thing is I believe it is 15mm thick, which is getting up there.

I’ve seen a video saying it was 15mm thick but that some of that was the domed crystal.
A Monochrome article from when the model was launched in 2019 lists the height as 11.3mm.

The Perpetual is the quintessential Moser complication. The movement was designed in collaboration with Andreas Strehler. I do prefer the Endeavour case to the Pioneer. Just a little more refined both in terms of size and construction.

I’m a bigger (tall) guy so 42mm is perfect for me.

The moser perpetual calendar is mega easy and safe to set, and the power reserve is humongous on these (I think!), which mitigates the hassle of needing to wind it. The case is large true, wears a lot better than it should on paper, but it’s big. I expect you can get a bracelet or rubber for this from moser if you want, and I assume it has good water resistance like other pioneers and the Streamliner pc. I feel like it’s an amazing value pre owned as long as you like the look and the way it wears.

The power reserve is 7+ days and 120 meters water resistance.

Amazing watch - except that the small window for the Months, next to the larger window for the Date always made it look a bit unbalanced to me. Other versions with this movement do not have this issue.

I have a Streamliner perpetual calendar.
I get just over 10 days on a full wind. And the movement is stunning.
